It all started September 28th 2007 at my 3rd floor apartment in Calgary. I’d wanted to do a radio show for years, but didn’t quite know how to make that happen. Then the idea of a podcast came to me, I figured it should be simple to do because it didn’t involve the need for an actual radio station. So one night I decided to just sit down and record a show on my computer as an experiment. I didn’t have a special recording program, mic or a soundproof space, but the mood struck me and I went with it.
I’ve recorded a number of shows but had never broadcast one until January 9th 2012. Nearly five years – that’s a long time to develop a project – and finally I’m airing an edition of my Vocal Vibes Podcast. Now technically it may not be a ‘podcast’ but given the rudimentary techniques I’ve used to record the show, I’m not going to let technicalities stop me now.
